Mythrum LP

Years ago, I worked on a synth/drone/metal album over the course of a few lonely weekends spent in a Dawsonville cabin that never quite came together. The good parts I feel like I've finally salvaged and put together with some newer straight drone stuff, a collection of which I'm calling the Mythrum LP. It should be ready at the end of the year.

Upcoming

hey folks:

We're playing a show with Young Again (Seth B from Living Rooms) and the Runaway Five (Dan Wakefield of being Dan Wakefield fame and Lockett from Lotus Plaza). It's pretty exciting.

Also, I've talked to some people about mastering Fallow. We'll see. At the rate I'm going, Wild Silver will be done before Fallow (which is sad, because the video for Fallow seems to be taking even longer). Oh well.

Fallow

I thought the work on the Fallow soundtrack was done, but some new ideas randomly overtook me so I'm back to it again. More beats, more drones, more everything. The cameos from other musicians still haven't materialized, but the album is getting denser and more varied.

Oh, and thanks Ohmpark for the kind review of Further On. I appreciate it.

EP up for grabs

<a href="http://warninglight.bandcamp.com/album/early-birds-ep">Solid Gone by Warning Light</a>

Hey everyone, you can listen to and download a recent EP by Warning Light over at the Warning Light bandcamp site... It features me and Allen both on synthesizer, we recorded in honor of the CD release show back in January.

New happenings going into Summer 2010

Well, the album is finally out.

And Fallow is finally done being recorded, sitting on the shelf, waiting for someone to release it in some form.

Which leaves me with... well, for a time really nothing. I've been working on new music with my band Roman Photos, so I haven't thought too much about Warning Light. But then last weekend, I got out my old Casio CZ 3000 and started working on new music. I haven't really used that synthesizer much since Warning Light 2, so it's strange to be playing it again. But now that I know more about electronics, I know how to play the thing. So I'm working on a new more upbeat piece of work called Wild Silver for now. I have no idea what will come of it, a couple of songs for the internet or a whole album. Who knows. I'll have a song finished and put up sometime soon.

New player

I'm in the process of getting some of the older Warning Light releases up on this website. You can listen to the new one of course, but I'm setting this up for people to hear some of the more limited releases, internet recordings, and out of print stuff.

There will be downloads too, but I'm still kind of figuring that all out.
